Ábaco é uma escultura que aproxima a forma do ábaco à ideia de filtro dos sonhos, criando um objeto imaginário para manipular memórias e imagens mentais. Se o ábaco tradicional organiza contas e cálculos, esta obra desloca essa lógica para o campo da memória, do sonho e do devaneio. Ao ser acionado, o objeto sugere um mecanismo capaz de reorganizar lembranças, filtrar imagens internas e dar corpo a processos invisíveis da mente.

A obra inaugura uma investigação sobre objetos que funcionam como dispositivos de pensamento, estruturas materiais que não apenas representam imagens, mas parecem ativá-las, embaralhá-las e transformá-las por meio do gesto, do toque e da imaginação.

Abacus is a sculpture that brings together the form of the abacus and the idea of a dreamcatcher, creating an imaginary object for manipulating memories and mental images. While a traditional abacus organizes numbers and calculations, this work shifts that logic into the field of memory, dreaming, and reverie. When activated, the object suggests a mechanism capable of reorganizing memories, filtering internal images, and giving form to invisible processes of the mind.

The work inaugurates an investigation into objects that function as devices for thought, material structures that do not merely represent images, but seem to activate, shuffle, and transform them through gesture, touch, and imagination.
